Evans Ceramics was a northern California art cottage success story--at its height employing between 14-20 potters all working under the direction of master ceramicist Anthony (Tony) Evans (1942-2009). The workshop was supplying pottery even to Macy's Department Stores! Evans built his business in Healdsburg, CA, as part of an early 1970s pottery migration to that town. This modernist vase was created and signed by Evans himself, and the number on the bottom.
