Description
Very unique antique (late 19th to early 20th century) table or mantel clock in the Japonisme style, possibly of continental origin, in the form of a Japanese drum or barrel on stand, exceptionally modeled and cast with repeating flowering vine motif and a dark brown patina. Height: 13 1/4 in (33.6 cm). It has a brass 8 day time-only movement with cylinder platform escapement that is apparently unsigned.
