Description
A set of three Gorham sterling silver tea spoons in the discontinued pattern "Empress", circa 1880s. The pattern was designed by George Wilkinson and named after Queen Victoria. Each spoon features late Victorian aesthetic motifs in low relief and is curved gently at the end of the stem. One spoon is engraved aftermarket with the initials A.H. while the other two are engraved with G.H. Each spoon is marked with the Gorham logo, sterling fineness mark, and the name G.M. Godfrey, which may refer to the retailer. The total combined weight is 81.15 grams.
