As a hanging option you can use a flat piece of wood with velcro patches. The wood can be screwed or nailed to the wall, the rug then velcroed onto the wood. You can also use command strips or rug clamps to hang the rug, or even nail it directly to a wall.

HOWEVER...,,

For a far more pronounced and dramatic display, l envision the tapestry "floating" within an oversized acrylic, deep shadow box frame which permits your wall to be the margins or frame of the tapestry

The wall, of the exposed shadow box "frame" could be painted white, red, dark gray or black to the exact size of the shadow box for a more dramatic touch.

I have included photos, showing examples of floating frames.

I believe this would create an extremely elegant, modern and sophisticated high-end presentation, plus protect the textile from and dust or dirt

The pile is approximately 3/4" thick lt can be clean by vacuuming it on a low setting
