Early 19th-century Provencal double-arm brass bouillotte lamp with tole shade and rooster finial. Each arm has a small detailed chicken supporting the cross-hatched candle cup. Antiqued faux-candles and adjustable oval tole shade. In the back of the fixture is a lidded tube originally used to house a spare candle. Electrified and in working order; takes two 40W bulbs. No maker's mark. Some rust, tarnish, age wear. Shade measures: 7.5"L x 5"W x 3.5"H.
