Sold at Thumler and Rutherford in San Francisco in the days of yore, we offer this antique Japanese gold metallic thread round lacquered box. A dragon is stitched in gold metallic thread on a silk background. Brocade ribbons surrounds the edges of the box.
This shows lots of wear to the metallic threads as well as the silk but it is a rare find for collectors of such items.
