Although difficult to tell from our photos, the plates are a very light blue. The color could also be considered a light slate gray with a blue tint. Embossed around the rim is a rope-like pattern with vines, leaves and berries. These are oven proof, and very sturdy-each plate weighs 1.5 pounds.

These have been heavily used and show wear, mostly when tilted in the light. There are heavy utensil marks and areas of scuffing on the faces of the plate. The scuffing is probably from stacking. Additionally, there are darker discolored marks, which would likely come off with powder cleanser and a bit of elbow grease.
