This lot comprises a trio of edged weapons of varying origins and styles. The first item is a 20th-century Indian talwar-style sword. The piece is constructed with a cast brass hilt featuring a traditional disc-shaped pommel, a slim knuckle bow, and a short crossguard with langets that extend over the base of the blade. The sword is housed in a wood-core scabbard upholstered in red velvet and embellished with gold-toned metallic braid and trim. No maker marks or factory stamps are visible on the hilt or scabbard components. The second item is a curved saber of mid-to-late 20th-century manufacture. The hilt is composed of a silver-toned metal knuckle guard with a simplified three-bar design and a black, ribbed grip. The scabbard appears to be black synthetic material or leather over a wood core, fitted with a metal throat. No maker marks or stamps are visible on the weapon or scabbard. The third item is a Japanese Type 30 bayonet originally intended for use with the Arisaka rifle. This example features an early-production hooked quillon and a bird's head style pommel. The entire hilt and the upper portion of the steel scabbard have been coated in a yellow-toned metallic paint. A mark is present on the ricasso, but it is not legible as a name or specific arsenal symbol due to paint coverage and surface wear.
