Description
Description - A fine quality Japanese satsuma pottery censer with colorful enamel work including many gosu blue decorations, raised gold and beautiful floral decoration. It has a nice form with a reticulated lid topped with a figural finial. It is signed on the bottom in gosu blue as shown.
Age - Late Edo period
Size - Approximately 6 + 5/8 inches in overall height by 7 inches at its widest point
Condition - Age appropriate, some staining, there are a couple of glaze lines on the bottom that do not go through, see photos for complete assessment.
