A very well crafted lidded Water Jar in the form of the vessels used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. The body of the jar is ribbed, glazed and bears fine abstract coloring in a deep deep brown on a lighter background in an olive brown with the underlying red clay showing on the lid edge. Substantial feeling with good weight. Marked "Red" on the base.
