Paul Stankard 1972 Art Glass Red Flower Paperweight

Description

A vintage glass paperweight by notable American glass artist Paul Stankard (born 1943). A delicate red petaled flowed with a stem and two leaves is encased in a rounded globe of transparent glass. There is an eight point crystal star cut into the underside. The artists "S" monogram is present alongside engraved "15/50" and "1972".

Paul Stankard's fine glass work is currently included in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art, Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art in Sapporo, Japan, among many others.
