Vintage Mid Century Modern Drexel Declaration Solid Walnut Bench / Coffee Table By Kipp Stewart

This authentic mid-century modern bench table was designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall for Drexel as part of the celebrated Declaration series. Intended as a versatile bench or low coffee table, the piece reflects the clean, architectural design language that defined American modern furniture in the early 1960s.

The elongated, low-profile silhouette features a sculpted surfboard-style top with softly eased edges and rests on refined tapered legs, creating a visually light yet substantial presence. Crafted in solid walnut, the wood displays a warm, natural grain that has aged beautifully over time. The proportions allow this piece to function equally well as seating, a coffee table, or placed at the foot of a bed.

The underside is factory-stamped "Bench Table by Drexel" with a production code dated 1963, consistent with documented examples from the Declaration line. Drexel commonly used form and date codes rather than full designer names, which is standard for original production pieces from this era.
