Beautiful bronze dish or shallow bowl by N. Dam Ravn for Nordisk Malm. 1930s 'Viking Revival Style,' from a period when the Scandinavian countries were drawing on their Viking Age and medieval art, literature, and mythology for inspiration. I believe that this depicts the Norse god Heimdallr blowing his horn to warn the other gods that Ragnarok is imminent.
