Description
A signed and framed bucolic farmhouse scene oil on canvas by Swedish-American painter Carl Ringius (1879-1950). Ringius was born in Sweden and immigrated to America in 1902 where he settled in Hartford, Connecticut and became one of the founders of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. His works are in the collection of the Smalandsmuseum and this particular piece was just purchased from the estate of a private art collector and is now available to the public!
