Delightful oil painting on canvas of a quaint French village. Painting depicts typical French farmhouse architecture along the side of street, rich deep hues in browns and beige tones create this authentic dream of village life. The artists semi loose brushwork has almost an impressionist feel to the scene. The work is late 19th Century. Provenance on the reverse, shows the work was exhibited at the Royal Academy in London together with the picture framers sticker.
