Jacobs Daguerreotype Saloon was a premier 19th-century photography studio in New Orleans, Louisiana, operated by English-born photographer Edward Jacobs (1813–1892). Active in the city from 1844 to 1864, Jacobs solidified his reputation as one of the South's finest early photographic artists, capturing striking portraits of elite Southern families, children, and notable historical figures.
