Circa 1930's split-leg hardwood tripod for a Technicolor movie camera features heavy-duty oak legs with steel ground shoes and a threaded brass mounting collar measuring 3.25" in diameter across the top fitting and retains its original brass hardware and tension adjustment thumbscrews. The top of one leg bears the Technicolor name and logo stamped into the wood just below the wing nut. The tripod displays authentic age and working patina, including surface wear, scuffs, finish loss to the wood legs, and light tarnish and verdigris on the brass components, while remaining structurally sound with solid legs and functional hardware.
