About the artist

iHeart is an anonymous Canadian street artist from Vancouver best known for stencil-based graffiti that comments on the relationship between society and technology, particularly social media. The artist gained international recognition in 2014 when British artist Banksy shared iHeart's mural "Nobody Likes Me" on social media. This work depicts a boy crying because he has no likes on Instagram.

iHeart's practice centers on stencil-based street art that addresses contemporary digital culture. The work examines themes of social media, technology's impact on human connection, and the search for validation in the digital age. Using accessible imagery and direct visual language, iHeart creates murals that respond to the alienation and pressures faced by youth in an increasingly connected world.

iHeart's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, including the 2016 solo exhibition "#Protest" at Ayden Gallery in Vancouver and the 2015 solo exhibition "Signs of the Times" at The Outsiders Gallery (Lazarides) in London. The viral sharing of "Nobody Likes Me" by Banksy brought the artist's work to a global audience and established iHeart as a significant voice in contemporary street art addressing digital culture. A panel from the mural "Financially Unstable" is held in the public art collection of the City of Vancouver.
