Beautiful Late 20th Century Virginian Botanical Still Life Study "Iris Cristata Dwarf Iris" by Artist Kay Ogle 1991.

This lovely study shows two full blooming purple Irises along with their green stems, yellow stamens, and the brown roots of one stem.

The watercolor is accentuated the dark and light purple mats surrounding it in the gold metal frame.

The Artist signed and dated the watercolor in the bottom right area of the piece. The watercolor was framed by the Abingdon Mercantile & Frame Gallery, 130 Wall Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210. The Gallery was in business for 30 years before it permanently closed in 2017.
