This listing is for a pair of framed 1950s Japanese semi-abstract woodblock prints by Nenjiro Inagaki (1902-1963).

Inagaki was a famous kimono designer. He received the highest honor as an artist, "Ningen Kokuho" (Intangible Cultural Property, aka Living National Treasures), from the Japanese government in 1962. He designed only a handful woodblock prints in the 1950s.

Antiqued gilt frame with double mat (charcoal and rust colors): 9-1/2"H x 10-3/4"W
Mat opening for woodblock print: 4.75"H x 5.75" W

It appears that the prints were framed in Los Angeles in the 1970's or 1980's based on the identifying label on the rear of both prints.

Each print is the same size in identically-sized frames.
