A wonderfully decorative **13-piece set of vintage Johnson Brothers "Provincial" English ironstone bowls**, featuring the pattern's distinctive combination of cobalt blue latticework, stylized foliate borders and colorful floral sprays in red, blue and green.

Each bowl has a gently **scalloped rim** outlined with alternating blue lattice and foliate motifs, surrounding a central bouquet with a charming hand-painted appearance. The slightly irregular floral decoration and traditional palette give the set the character of much earlier English and Continental country pottery while retaining the durability for which Johnson Brothers ironstone became known.

The graduated collection is particularly appealing and versatile, comprising **four 5.25-inch bowls, eight 6.25-inch bowls and one large 8.25-inch serving bowl**. Use the smaller bowls for dessert, fruit or condiments, the larger group for soup, salad or pasta, and the largest as a coordinating serving bowl.
