A vintage 20th Century Swiss 900/1000 grade gold 20 Francs Vreneli coin, one of the most recognisable and popular European historic gold coins. The swiss coin features the famous left facing portrait of Helvetia, her hair braided and decorated with edelweiss, the Swiss Alps visible in the background. The inscription Helvetia appears above, with Landry's signature beneath the portrait. The other side bears the Swiss national shield bearing the cross, surrounded by decorative oak brances. The denomination 20FR appears to either side with the date 1947 below and the B mintmark indicating the Federal Mint at Bern. Gold purity 900/1000 (21.6ct).
