Antique 19th Century Swiss 18k gold and enamel snuff box made for the Ottoman market, oval with scalloped edges, the lid painted with a bouquet of roses and peonies and other flowers, framed by pale blue, translucent green and white taille d'épargne enamel borders of scrolls and flowers, the sides with matching decoration.

Hallmarked with later French gold import mark “ET” on the inner rim.
