Antique 20th Century American solid silver cigar tube of cylindrical form with a removable push-fit cap. The body is decorated with vertical engine-turned engraving and features a plain oval cartouche to the centre. The top and base have smooth polished bands, contrasting with the linear decoration. Designed to hold a couple of cigars, the tube protects them while remaining compact for carrying. A practical and well-made example of American silver.
