Antique 19th Century Austrian .900/1000 grade gold 20 Francs coin, featuring Emperor Franz Joseph I. This coin is a historic dual denomination coin and was struck in exceptionally high purity gold. The coin features a laureate portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I surrounded by the Latin imperial legend: FRANCISCVS IOSEPHVS I D G IMPERATOR ET REX. The reverse with the crowned Imperial Austrian double headed eagle bearing the Habsburg arms. The surrounding inscription reads: IMPERIVM AVSTRIACVM. Gold purity 900/1000 (21.6ct).
