Description
This delightful 19th C milliner's head was used to support caps and headdresses so they remained well shaped and pressed for milliners and cap pressers. The forms were exported all over the world, including the United States, where this form was found. This sculpture has a charming face with dark fringe bangs, blue eyes and red lips. The form is made of wood covered in leather with a paper mache face.
A sculptural accent with quiet whimsy, it sits beautifully on a console, dressing table, or bookshelf.
