Late 19th century English framed watercolor by Frederick Mew. Scene of a town with bridge & waterway, Gothic town gate, Norman church tower in the background. Signed & dated lower center: Fred Mew 1892. Frederick Mew (1832-1898) was an English architect, artist, & father of Charlotte Mew (major poet). His works reflect his expertise in structural design. He was shown at the Royal Academy. Later 20th century framed with a few bumps; not examined out of the frame. Sight: 11" x 17". Frame: 20.5" x 26 3/8".
