A pair of vividly colored paintings on authentic Egyptian papyrus, depicting classic ancient Egyptian motifs. One painting features an Egyptian boat or felucca with a mast and crew, surrounded by hieroglyphic cartouches. The second painting illustrates the Eye of Horus (Wedjat eye) accompanied by a falcon deity, and an elaborate cartouche-like design with fish and aquatic plants. Both pieces are signed "Samal" in the lower section of the papyrus. Each is presented in a contemporary wooden frame with a dark blue mat.
