(Hanna-Barbera, 1960s) A one-of-a-kind, hand-painted prototype "talking" Yogi Bear puppet designed as a giveaway premium. Included with the puppet are hand-drawn mock-ups for an instruction sheet and mailing envelope. The prototype came from the archives of Sam and Gordon Gold, recognized as the originators and largest producers of children's premiums, working with companies such as Kellogg's, Cracker Jack, General Foods, and others. Also included is a signed letter from Gordon Gold. Measuring from the 8.5" x 11" letter to the 9.75" x 20" puppet, the items are in good to very good condition, with edge wear, creasing, light discoloration from age, and the puppet missing the nose.
