A scarce World War I Marine Corps M-1917 painted helmet.
Steel body is painted in an OD green paint.
Front has the profile of an Indian chief head in the center of a five-armed white star.
Both are hand painted onto the center of a purple oval background.
There is a hole punched above where the metal eagle, globe and anchor - EGA would have been screwed in place.
Includes the oil cloth and leather liner on the interior of the helmet.
Measures 11 1/4 inches wide by 12 1/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches tall.
