Description: A double-arm Argand table lamp centered by an elevated urn-form oil reservoir with a pointed finial and flow control. Two horizontal arms terminate in pierced burner assemblies fitted with frosted bulbous shades and clear glass chimneys. Gilt scroll and foliate brackets accent the arms. The lamp rises on an architectural stepped pedestal with recessed Gothic panels and four gilt feet. The original oil-lighting form has been adapted with two electric sockets and pull-chain switches.

The lamp has been converted from oil to electricity with later sockets and wiring. Both lights powered on at the time of photography. The metal surfaces have oxidation, scratches, rubbing, and losses to the black and gilt finishes.. No major glass cracks or chips are apparent.
