Born in 1954 in Hyogo Prefecture.
Graduated in 1977 from Musashino Art University's Department of Commercial Design, later becoming a graphic designer and subsequently an illustrator.
In 1987, serialized the Romantic Gallery series (depicting German streets) on the back cover of the Mainichi Shimbun color supplement.
In 1988, serialized the Romantic Street Corners series (depicting French streets) in the same newspaper.
Held his first solo exhibition in 1990 at Spiral Gallery in Aoyama, Tokyo, focusing on his activities as a painter.
In 1998, held his first museum solo exhibition at "Daimaru Museum Tokyo."
In 2004, held a solo exhibition in Recanati, Italy, an art and cultural city.
In 2005, held a solo exhibition at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Italy.
In 2006, held a joint exhibition themed on Sino-Japanese friendship with Mr. Liu Changshun at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
In 2008, held a solo exhibition sponsored by Kyoto City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Kyoto and Paris, held in both Paris and Kyoto.
In 2015, held a solo exhibition sponsored by Kyoto and Florence to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship between the two cities.
In 2021, held a 30th-anniversary commemorative solo exhibition of his painting career at the "Ueno Royal Museum" in Tokyo.
Since 1991, has held over 100 solo exhibitions at renowned department stores and other venues nationwide.
