21" - B - 9 - L - (JUMEAU Doll made for the Louvre Department Store from 1892 on). Brown paper weight eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears, dark brown HH wig, heavy molded cork pate. Unmarked papier mache jointed body with separate hands. Dressed in nicely made reproduction ivory silk taffeta dress with lace overlay. Braid and lace trims Silk ribbon bows and sash. Matching bonnet. Cotton pantaloons, no petticoat. Newer shoes. Condition: mold imperfection on forehead (pimple in bisque), kiln dust and glue residue from wig. Otherwise, nothing observed on bisque. Minor loss of paint on hands.This lot is being sold AS IS. NOTE: always look at these antique dolls for their clothing, shoes, wigs.
