This piece is marked Qing dynasty Hetian jade Phoenix (or phoenix/auspicious bird) small ornaments and accessories. The jade is white and warm, with some yellowish-brown skin color and bright spots, and an oily luster. It is carved like a phoenix bird looking back: the beak is round and the eyes are connected, the crown feathers are connected with the cirrus wing feathers, the tail feathers are stretched and rolled up, and the wings are represented by shallow relief decoration curling lines on the body and abdomen. The overall posture is agile and has the decorative interest of the Qing dynasty jade carving "archaistic Auspicious Bird". The bottom and tail are left with leather to add layering and antique feel.
