Barecat Automaton. Cornwall: Fourteen Balls Toy Co., 1999. As the crank is turned, the cat turns yet another crank in his own hand, activating its own miniature cat automaton. Modeled on the design of the logo of the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre. Designed by Matt Smith and Paul Spooner. One of possibly 200 or fewer manufactured, and one of the firm’s most recognizable automatons. Signed by Smith on base, with paper manufacturer's label.
