Description
A stunning antique French ornate gilded spelter figural mantel clock from the mid 19th century. Featuring a well-cast figure of a young boy / child dressed in Victorian era garment, sheaves of wheat and scythe, heavily decorated Rocaille style design, housing circular white enamel dial with black roman numerals, working key wound eight day time and strike movement stamped Vincenti et Cie (Jean Vincenti, France, d.1834) and G. Schmoll, Paris. Accompanied by scrolled and stylized giltwood pedestal stand. Key and pendulum included, lacking bezel glass.
