This mid-19th century (Napoleon III style) clock is stunning with its diamond shaped, rippling clock frame of ebony painted wood. Floral and foliate designs are carefully inlaid around the the porcelain clock face in brilliant mother-of-pearl, contrasting the stained mahogany. The dial has hand-painted Roman numerals and delicately pierced hands to tell the time. The clock chimes the hour, and once on the half hour.
