An antique early 19th-Century hanging Dutch candle box. It is made of brass and has a heraldic cartouche and a delightful folkart scene of a milkmaid and cow. It has a hinged lid, lovely aged patina and retains the original surface. It can be hung on a wall or placed on a table and would make a lovely desk catch-all.
