Built with heavy plank construction, pegged joinery, and hand-cut mortise-and-tenon joints. Wrought iron strap hinges and lock hardware. Breadboard ends visible on shelves. Key is present. This Southern European, likely Spanish, vargueño-style cabinet is from late 17th/early 18th century (around 1680-1720). Designed as one tall, unified cabinet, not a chest on a separate base.
