The largest bowl has nicely engraved archaic Chinese characters. The four bowls nest nicely, although the fourth is much smaller. It is possible more bowls once went between the smallest and second smallest, we are not sure. These bowls were made between 1900-1925. The bowls are marked on the underside with the characters jungin for .999 silver purity. The bowls are in excellent condition. Three of the bowls have been set down firmly enough that the faint impress of the bowl's circular base can be seen in the body of the bowl. This is minor and does not show up when photographed. There are no breaks, no split, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. From smallest to largest, the bowls measure approximately: 2 7/16 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches tall; 4 7/8 inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches tall; 5 7/16 inches in diameter and 1 7/8 inches tall; 6 1/8 inches in diameter and 2 1/8 inches tall. The bowls' total weight is 21.11 ounces and 598.7 grams.
