Beautiful large oil canvas which is believed to be the work of William John Thomas Collins, R.A. (1788-1847). This piece is of the highest quality- the detail to the boy is exceptional, the rock work is beautifully done and the ships on the horizon are a Collins hallmark. The canvas is in excellent condition and has been professionally lined about 30 years ago. Collins' paintings have been sold by Christie's and Sotheby's. Piece was professionally framed in 2010.
