This beautiful traditional English ironstone hand engraved blue and white plate depicting an old country castle. Some farmhouses are at the base of the castle. There is a mare and her colt stopped to look at a passerby holding a rifle. The sky has fluffy clouds. The grand tree, bushes and grassland emphasize the country feel. The outer rim has an ornate scrolled floral pattern with a scalloped edge.
