1850-1870 Victorian English Marble top Washstand with tile backsplash.
This unique original Victorian washstand is a beautiful piece of history. In the past, it was used to hold a wash basin and a water pitcher, similar to how we currently use our bathroom vanity. The wood is likely mahogany or rosewood. The marble slab is completely intact and lies loose on top of the wooden cabinet. The backsplash is positioned on top of the marble slab, which has two holes to secure the wooden pegs of the backsplash in place. The tiles are in immaculate condition for their age.
