A crab crustacean engraving from an antique copy of the Animal Kingdom by Cuvier of London, circa 1840. This is a copper-line engraving with original hand-coloring. From Baron Georges Cuvier's (1769-1832) 'Animal Kingdom', published in London in 1837.
Taken from a book and measuring 8 1/4" x 5 1/4". Ready to be mounted or matted and framed.
Discovered at the renowned Luckett's Fall Market near Leesburg, Virginia.
