Hand made Hapao Saucer Basket hand made from split rattan with a spiral 'twisted' rattan core and carved fruitwood decorative side handles. The carefully made piece has a natural organic stained finish - by the Benguet people of mountainous Benguet Province, Luzon Island in the Philippines.
Low in profile, circular/round in shape, it's an eye catching piece that is used for holding household items such as towels and can double up as a tray. or even fruit basket Quite sturdy, original tag still in place - approximately 35 years old.
These pieces are now getting harder to find.
