Description
This botanical print features images of a pear variety called "Giuseppina di Malines," also known as Josephine of Melchen, originally cultivated in Belgium. This framed image was purchased in Italy in the 1980s and is likely a page from an antique book though date not verified. It features a variety of perspectives: green pears on a tree branch with leaves; the whole pear on its own; and pear halved with seeds. Print is matted and complimented by a wood frame with gold inset. Artist not known.
