Superbly shaped lime green crackle glazed Mei Ping monochrome vase from China. This is one of the most elegant forms of Chinese vases - also known as the Plum vase. A short flaring neck over a voluptuous body with a slightly flared foot - a beautiful balance of shape and form. Fine even crackle throughout the body. Simple white glaze inside. Presented on a carved dark brown wood stand, the colour of which contrasts beautifully with the green.
A statement piece and very eye catching!
Signed/hallmarked in blue on the underside with double blue circles. (Yongzheng 1723-1735).
Made early Mid 20th. Century however.
