They are beautifully detailed with a center medallion, sword, pallet, and scroll and surrounded by medieval portraits of scholars, aristocrats, and nymphs. Raised on a beaded pedestal, these fine quality pieces are also referred to as comports in the UK. Made in Europe, likely French or Italian in origin.
