Antique Turkish Handwoven Oriental Rug Circa 1920 4'1"x6'1"

Description

ANTIQUE TURKISH HANDWOVEN ORIENTAL RUG CIRCA EARLY 1900's 4'1" x 6'1"

Another recent acquisition from a high end Cincinnati estate, this fine Turkish tribal rug dates to the early 1900's. It should last for at least another 50 years. Hand Woven. All wool pile and wool warp and weft. 3-4 cord selvage. Ends good with short fringes. Shows a very even wear pattern with a pile near the foundation. This was always a thin rug. There are a few repiled areas in the rug as seen. The ends have been rebuilt about 1" approx. There is some light staining in the rug (pointing to the most obvious). Priced accordingly. Would be appropriate in many settings, formal or informal, antique to eclectic. Just a cute little antique tribal rug!
