This vintage and aged Chinese open mouth koi fish is a beautiful Verdi Gris bronze. The patination is commensurate with the figure's age. The large mouth is a feature of this type of fish sculpture that is often called a gurgling or glug glug fish. The bottom is flat so it can be placed either horizontally or vertically. The koi is weighty enough to serve as a bookend or a small, unique vase. A lovely accent with Chinoserie decor.
